Approach

Each project is overseen by one of the Practice Partners, who remains the point of contact for the Client.

An Associate or Project Architect is allocated to each project and is responsible for coordinating the architectural team, liaising with other members of the Design Team, and coordinating their input.

Staff allocation is determined by the particular design, project management and technical skills applicable to each project. Staffing levels are generous to achieve rapid information flow.

We are particularly experienced in meeting tight budgets and short timescales.

Our design approach is based on careful analysis and assessment of each project and its context, followed by the development of a design which:

  • fully explores all the opportunities
  • is in context
  • is fit for purpose
  • is sustainable
  • takes into account the needs of the disabled
  • is consistent with meeting the available programme and cost limits

Our ability to manage the input of other members of the Design Team is well proven, and our overview ensures that the final design is coherent and cohesive.

Value Engineering is considered essential to ensure each project suits the available budget. A critical assessment is carried out throughout the design process to ensure a suitable balance between quality and cost.

At all stages we apply rigour not only to our design process but to all technical and project management aspects. We have an established record of employing materials and detailing developed from tried and tested principles.
